Are You Experiencing Abundant Life?

It has been one of my recent goals to receive all that the Lord is offering me. Sometimes it can be overwhelming when I stop to think of all the He offers me. I picture Him standing before me with his arms full of good things for me; peace, patience, kindness, joy – all in abundance for my every need.

“Every Christian has eternal life, but not every Christian has it abundantly in his daily experience. Abundant life is the life of Christ filling us to overflowing in every area of our lives. Any lack is not on His part in giving, but in our part in possessing.

God intends that abundant life be the normal experience of every one of His children.” Millie Stamm in Be Still and Know

Join me and ask Him for all that you need. He is waiting.

I ask myself that a lot Kate. When I stop to think about it I know the truth about His provision but then I go back to acting like I have the full responsibility of caring for myself. We were in a study once where they called this “acting like an orphan”. I think that is a very good description of how I act some days.

Yes! Why do we settle for so much less than what Jesus offers to us? Why do we willingly live a life of less than abundance? I think so much is because we don’t truly believe what the Lord offers to us. The joy of walking in His abundant blessing and grace is so amazing that, once experienced, we can never want to go back!

Thanks for posting this challenge today!

It is wonderful when you begin to realize the Lord’s provision. Too often I try to provide for myself instead of waiting on the Lord or perhaps it is that I want something other than He is providing.

    So true:

“Any lack is not on His part in giving, but in our part in possessing.”

Just at lunch today, I sat with my son and husband and we commented on how, (in this moment) God was supplying all our needs. It’s a miracle – and He does it every day.

    Beautiful post. Thank you.
