We’ve done the drawing for Hal and Melanie Young’s book Christ-Centered Christmas, and the winners are listed below.
This week I’ve decided to share several websites that I’ve found inspiring. I’ve been rather melancholy this past week. It looks as though we won’t be seeing some of our extended family over the holidays this year, and it’s really made me stop and think about what is important. I’ve often felt like the father of the prodigal son, looking down the road for the one who left while I neglect the ones who stayed home. I recently read a quote that said something like this: “What if you woke up one day and only had the things you had expressed gratefulness for?”
These are posts that have made me stop and think, and I’d like to share them with you.

And finally, the results of the drawing:
But first, if you aren’t one of the winners, you will definitely want to consider purchasing Christ-Centered Christmas. The recipes alone are worth the discounted release price of $6.00.
Rarely do I take an untested recipe to our church’s Sunday Fellowship meals, but Saturday as I thought about what to bring I was so tempted by Melanie’s Sweet Potato Souffle, and I had sweet potatoes, marshmallows, and the rest of the ingredients, so I decided to just do it!
“Never a bite left!” and “May I have the recipe?” are several comments I hear about some dishes, but this one went so quickly that I didn’t even get to taste it myself! Now I’ll just have to make it again.
And at long last, here are the winners: Stephanie Olmsted, Kimberly, and Jennifer. Melanie will be sending you a link so you can download your copy shortly.
Be sure to join me later this week, when I plan to tell you how you can win a piece of jewelry valued at $20 – $25. Meanwhile, check out some of the ones I will be choosing from at Gilded Gears.
