The article above is the first article I wrote with this title. The boy in the photos is our son Eric. He had leukemia when he was 18 months old. He required 3 1/2 years of chemo and this is him today with his wife and daughter.
Loving someone with cancer
He’s one of my heroes.
He went through all that chemo and rarely stopped smiling.
These are two more people I look up to.
But he said to her, “You speak as one of the foolish women would speak. Shall we receive good from God, and shall we not receive evil?” all this Job did not sin with his lips. Job 2:10 ESV
Instead of “Why Me?” consider saying, “Why not me?” Both times cancer touched our family I stayed up most of the night before being diagnosed asking the Lord not to ask me to walk through it. But, He sat no.
Then I prayed Mary’s prayer, Be it unto me according to thy word.
And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her. Luke 1:38 KJV
The Lord has given me grace enough for each day, and I’ve received it and tried to use it as He would want me to.
Covid-19
How are you all doing with staying home? Since I am very high risk I have only gone to doctor appts. and see our children and spouses. And the above-mentioned granddaughter. God’s grace has kept me content most of the time. I’m grateful for email and texting to keep in touch with family and friends. Also, for making it possible to be at our streamed church services.
