I learned something new this week that I thought I would share with my readers, since I’m sure it affects many of you too.
I had my first ever “complaint” on my blog. So I had to do some reading on my auto-responder to find out what the complaint was and who complained.
It turns out that if someone on my list deletes my post from their spam, rather then transferring it to their inbox before deleting; I get it described as a complaint.
Not only do I receive it as a complaint, but that person is automatically unsubscribed from my list – permanently, and I can’t even find out who it was so I can contact you to let you know you’ve been unsubscribed and will receive no more of my posts.
I’m not certain that all auto-responders work this way, but I use Aweber, which is quite a popular one, so deleting a post from your spam could unsubscribe you from some of your favorite messages and you wouldn’t even know it until you began to wonder where your e-mails had gone.
So, if you find something that you are subscribed to in your spam bin, which happens from time to time, be sure to move it to your inbox before you delete it.
Finding Joy in the journey, I would love to have the opportunity to keep in touch with you. Please sign up to be notified of new entries and to receive my Free E-zine. (Your address will not be shared)
