First I want to offer a big welcome to all the new subscribers we’ve had recently. Thank you for being interested enough to request our newsletter. We hope you will find articles that will encourage you in your walk with the Lord, as well as a little fun on the way.
Today I’ll try to supply a bit of both.
Yesterday morning I was sitting in my “quiet time chair”. As I looked to my left I saw our back yard covered in snow and barren trees – beautiful. Then I looked to my right and saw the evergreens in our front yard covered in snow – again, beautiful. In front of me my daughter Rebekah was reading her Bible, drinking coffee, and writing in her journal – more than just beautiful – priceless, as the commercial says.
I was overwhelmed with a sense of wonder at all the Lord has given me. As I pondered this thought I was reminded of the Bible verse I have on our bedroom wall, “Now to Him who by the power at work within us is able to do far more abundantly than all we ask or think, to Him be glory in the church and in Jesus Christ to all generations, for ever and ever. Amen.” Ephesians 3:20-21
It’s one of my favorites because it reminds me that I can’t even imagine all that the Lord has for me. In this case it made me think about all He has already given me. I realized in that moment if I could have chosen my future 40 years ago when the Lord rescued me I would never have given myself all that He has given me. Why? Because after a lifetime of living without Him I didn’t even know all of this existed or was possible for someone like me.

What does Jesus see in you that you can’t even imagine?

Now for the Molly Cakes!
Molly at Econobusters has come up with a matching idea to the pies in a jar that I posted last week. Only I can’t find my post so I’ve linked you to instructions to make pies in a jar. Just look at these cute little cakes. I know you are going to want to add them to your homemade Christmas treats this year.
I just found this recipe for
Stir-and-Pour Bread Mix in a Jar
You can bet that’s on my to try list!
I would love to have the opportunity to keep in touch with you. Please sign up to be notified of new entries and to receive my Free E-zine. (Your address will not be shared)
