“If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.” James 1:5 (NIV)
I received this devotion three times in one day from three different people. Do you think the Lord is trying to tell me something?
I do, so I thought I would share it with all of you in an effort to cement it in my mind better.
Glynnis says, “For years, I never even thought to ask God for help making little decisions. Maybe I’d bring Him in on the big decisions, but the little ones I figured I could handle myself. Oh, how I missed out on so much clarity and focus.
If you are having trouble thinking, ask God to clear your mind and direct your decision-making. Then trust He is doing just that. Once you ask God to speak to you, expect it to happen. This expectation is crucial to hearing from God.”
Better yet, read the whole devotional and see if it doesn’t help you too.
Wishing you and yours a very blessed Easter – He is indeed risen!

Thanks for stopping by. I’m grateful for the opportunity to write something encouraging.
I love that we can gain wisdom if we just ask God for it…even in the little things. Thanks for sharing a sweet reminder and for linking up at What Joy Is Mine this week.
So uplifting and very true! I LOVE your reply to Tresta regarding Colossians 1: 17. I agree! Thank you!
This is so right on, and exactly what I needed to hear today! How often have I lamented the losing of my mind, and not gone to the source of all sanity? Grace to you, and thank you for being a reminder today…not the third reminder today, but who knows?!
Thank you for stopping by and telling me that this was a good reminder for you. How often I wonder if I’m the only one who doesn’t need to remember the source of all sanity.
“He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.” – Colossians 1:17 NIV I often wonder if the opposite is also true – without Him all things fall apart.
Blessings, Phyllis
