How To Train Your Children To Have A Quiet Time

Is there anything more important than training our children how to communicate with the Lord?

[Tweet “Is there anything more important than training our children how to communicate with the Lord?”]

Yes, we want them to be believers, we want them to walk by faith, but in order to do that they need to learn how to hear what He is saying to them.

God speaks to us through His word.

“But he said, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and keep it!” – Luke 11:28 ESV

In order to obey, they need to hear.

They need to be hearing the word of the Lord as early as possible. Some parents sing Scripture to their children while they are still in the womb. We need to continue to speak the Word to them as we transition them to hearing it for themselves.

Read my article here about how to encourage your children to spend time in God’s Word as young as possible.

“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.” – Proverbs 22:6 ESV

Encouraging kids to get in the Word is so important from a very young age. Thanks for sharing at this week’s Friday Free for All link party.

Thanks. I’m still working on some bugs but I’m liking it.
