Will You Be OK?

I’m sure some of you have felt like me - never knowing what to say. Thoughts spin in my head, but none of them seem like enough or not just trite recitations of what everyone says – I’ll pray, I’m sorry…

Cancer.  We all dread hearing that word. I doubt there is a family alive who hasn’t been touched by it in some way. Our son had it. I lost a good friend to it last year. This year I have several more doing battle with it.  I think one reason it is so alarming is that it reminds us of our own mortality. I write about one of my experiences in the article titled When You Hear the “C” Word.

I’m sure some of you have felt like me – never knowing what to say. Thoughts spin in my head, but none of them seem like enough or not just trite recitations of what everyone says – I’ll pray, I’m sorry…

Recently I read several articles that spoke to me so I sent them to several friends who are currently battling cancer. Many wrote to sat that they were encouraged, so I wanted to share them with you so perhaps you can share them with someone else who needs to be encouraged.

By the way, you don’t have to have cancer to be encouraged by them.
