Seems odd to say last year, but it actually was last Christmas that I really got into ordering online. I have some people who are out of state and it was great to have things shipped right to them rather than having to package them and make a trip to the post office.
I experienced all of the above when I was attempting to do some Christmas shopping.
Then my daughter happened upon www.Freeshipping.com. They were offering a 30-day free trial, so we decided to give it a try over the holidays when we were doing a lot of internet shopping.
The site is quite intuitive, so there isn’t a big learning curve. You can check out a list of companies that they work with and link to their site directly from www.Freeshipping.com. After you place your order, go to member services and click on “Claim your bonus rebates.” There you will find a pull-down tab that will have your purchases listed. Click on the one that you want to have shipping refunded from. You answer several questions about the order and wait for your refund to be mailed.
After your 30-day trial there is an $11.97 per month charge. You can cancel anytime and they even offer to prorate your monthly payment as of the day you cancel.
All family members can use the same account, but you would sign in under the name used to register. They have a long list of companies that they work with and there is some free shipping for stores they don’t include on their lists as well.
The most difficult part for me has been remembering to sign in through www.Freeshipping.com when I shop online, but I’m getting used to it.
Let me know how it works for you if you decide to try it.
I also have a prayer request for my family.
We are starting our planning time Wednesday, January 12th and will be meeting together until January 17th. This is a very important time for us as a family. We spend most of that time seeking the Lord’s plans for us as a family in all areas of our life. You can find more information on our planning weekends in our e-book Purposeful Planning which you will find in our bookshop.
Please pray for us when you think of us. Our verse is: “Where there is no vision the people perish.” Proverbs 29:18
