This book makes me wish I had young children again.
What a fun way to learn about Christmas in different countries and study some geography at the same time.
There are 30 lessons in this book based on the Christmas celebrations of 30 different countries. Each lesson could take as little as 10 minutes to read and discuss, or as much as a day or two of school hours to complete the extra reading and activities. It is designed to be very flexible so that you can choose to use it either as a Unity Study complete 6-week curriculum, or as an additional resource to enhance your regular homeschool material.
Putting together material of this amount would take you many hours of research but Katie has done it for you.
Each lesson contains:
- Several Pages of information about Christmas in that country
- Information on traditions/culture, writing, reading, history, geography, math, music, science and art.
- There are links to additional information, printables, activities and online resources.
- Book lists for further reading along with information on how to find them and an online list for internet links to each book.
- Four reproducible pages: art coloring page, journal page, geography notebooking page, and a fourth page that changes from lesson to lesson. These pages vary in style so your children won’t get bored.
- These lessons are easily adapted for children of various ages.
