Lila Rose Review

I thought the Lila Rose clips were absolutely beautiful when I first saw them—but I was also pretty dubious. I’ve tried similar ones before, and based on my past experiences I thought it would be difficult to get the flexi clips to stay in properly. To be honest, I was mainly expecting a lot of frustration when I agreed to give one a try for this review.

As any member of my family can tell you, I tend to be far more practical than creative—much less elegant—when it comes to my hairstyles. I find a few styles that work consistently, and I stick with them because I’m reluctant to spend a lot of time in the morning messing around and trying to figure out something new.

When it comes to new hairclips, my feelings tend to be the same. I have clips and pins and bands that I know aren’t going to slip out all the time, and aren’t ridiculously fiddly to work with, and I tend to stick with those ones. I don’t want to have to stop to take my hair down in the middle of teaching a class, or have clips sliding out and letting my hair fall in my face when I’m bending over to take care of children in nursery!

So, when I went to try out the Lila Rose flexi clip I’d received, I expected that it would wind up consigned to the “pretty but impractical” drawer of hair supplies I rarely use.

I was surprised when I was able to fasten the clip easily right away! The notches on the sliding pin really do catch as they’re supposed to, and without any hassle.

It took me a couple of tries to find the best way to wear it (simply because some strands of my hair were too short for the style I’d initially had in mind), but the clip itself was very easy to work with. Even better, it stayed in place far more securely than I would’ve thought possible for a clip of that style. It didn’t slide around the entire time I was wearing it, and I didn’t have to stop and fix my hair once.

All in all, I would definitely recommend the clips.

I wish I could claim that hair, but it’s my daughter’s. She is doing a tutorial on how she does it so look for that soon.

I gave away last year as Christmas gifts, and except for the one who lost hers to a very curious son, everyone LOVES them. I always have a great hair day with these. I keep one in each car, just in case something comes up, and I didn’t”do” my long hair.
Good luck to everyone and tell your daughter, I want the tutorial!
