My Review:

This is a very difficult, but worthwhile, book to read because of the material covered. I know about Christian persecution, but I don’t think I really KNEW about Christian persecution.

Alana doesn’t go into unnecessary gory details, but she does give enough information to make you realize how difficult Chung-Cha’s imprisonment was. I don’t think most of us can really imagine the amount of physical, mental, and emotional damage that can be done to one person.

The phrase that kept coming to mind was, Man’s inhumanity to man. How can we treat other humans this way? It’s really difficult to comprehend.

I recommend this to anyone who wants to understand the current situation for many Christians today! Yes, this is currently going on in many countries today.

I have read lots of books about persecution, but it’s good to be reminded of what is happening to our brothers and sisters in other countries so we can pray for them. It also reminds us to be grateful for our blessings to live in a free country and do what we can to keep it that way.

Penny are you familiar with Voice of the Martyrs? It’s a great way to keep up on current events regarding the persecuted church.

Thank you for sharing about this book and for this opportunity. More people really need to be aware of the Christian persecution that is going on in the world today. This sounds like a book I would enjoy reading.

It will Wendy. I read it in October and I still find myself thinking over some things from it. It’s haunting. Let me know after you read it. We gotta do lunch soon!
