I spent some time on Pinterest one day this week. It’s a rare luxury that I only allow myself once in a while.
I found some great looking recipes I would like to try so I thought I would share some of them with you.
And have some fun
And give you a chance to try some of them with me
And win a CD set.

Description from their website:
“In the everyday of the really unusual, Tim Wildmon can find intrigue, humor, and spiritual application. From a self-professed Mississippi redneck (but one of depth and sophistication) comes a tremendous collection of stories sure to make you smile, laugh, stop, and ponder.
This down-home Christian humorist addresses the “terrible twos,” in-laws, marriage, and lest he forget, his church family as well. If that all sounds too serious, Tim also shares thoughts on sports (his beloved 1971 St. Louis Cardinals), entertainment, and fishing (“Big Bite Catfish Dough” is not for human consumption).
Amidst all the fun is some serious thought, though. Can we learn to better love God and serve our fellow man by pausing to contemplate everyday events? Perhaps there are lessons in each episode of our lives—golden nuggets of truth that can be mined when, at wit’s end, we are left to wonder what DID Noah do with the woodpeckers?”
“Funny, thought-provoking, insightful…” – Zig Ziglar
We enjoyed this a lot as a family. It has short sections so it’s perfect for
listening to in the car on errand day or a family trip.
Now, on to the recipes. Most of these are easy enough to have your
children help so it could be a fun family project.
First, this one that I actually did try and it was loved by all my mushroom lovers. My non-mushroom lovers didn’t even try it. We decided it’s a quick easy keeper and the great tasting sauce could be used on steak, chicken, mashed potatoes, etc. We’re looking forward to trying some of the variations suggested at the bottom of this recipe.

I’m always looking for easy brunch ideas to use on Saturday when both my guys are around and I want to have a hearty but easy breakfast to serve them. I think this one might make it to my recipe box. Find the recipe at Mercy is new.

And last, but not least – I think this will be my favorite. I’ve been known to go to a Mexican restaurant just to have fried ice cream. I’ve tried different recipes at home, but just made a mess. Finding this option to make it in a pan is exciting. I’m hoping it’s as good as the reviews say.
