“O God, thou knowest my foolishness; and my sins are not hid from thee.” Psalm 69:5
We all long to be known – to be understood. But, do we want to be known to this extent?
As I read this verse this morning I found it strangely comforting.
- Since there is nothing hid from my God – my Father, I can come to Him without trying to cover-up anything.
- I don’t have to try to keep anything secret.
- I don’t have to sneak around or make excuses.
“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” – Matthew 11:28 KJV
This could be scary, but we’re talking about coming to our Father – you know, the one who allowed His Son to die for all our sins.
- The one who calls us His child
- The one who calls us His own and loves us with an everlasting love.
- The one who knows all about us and still loves us.
“The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with loving kindness have I drawn thee.” – Jeremiah 31:3 KJV
- The one who bids us to approach the throne of grace without fear.
“Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” – Hebrews 4:16 KJV
- The one who says;
“Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.” – Isaiah 1:18 KJV
What are you waiting for, run to your Father, throw yourself into His arms and be known.

I love what you said here: “What are you waiting for, run to your Father, throw yourself into His arms and be known.”
What a joy it is to know that, because Jesus died in our place, we have a restored relationship with God and can call Him Father!
