How to Prevent Family Emergencies

Be sure to read to the end to get your free interactive internet safety guide.

As parents, we do all that we can to prevent family emergencies. None of us want to see our child get injured, be in a car accident, or any damage happen to our home.

With a new virus on the horizon, we all consider what we can do to protect our family. We don’t want to go overboard as many did with Y2K, but we want to learn to care for our family in ways that will keep them safer.

Food Prep

Change is happening faster than I can keep up with. First, you wash chicken and turkey. Now you shouldn’t because you will contaminate your sink and counter.

Erin Pearson sent me an article from her site Seriously Smoked. The article The Art Of Prepping Meat was very informative. It’s one that I will refer to often.

Here is another interesting article I just read today that has some good points.

9 BEST WAYS TO PREPARE YOUR FAMILY FOR AN EMERGENCY

Internet Safety

As you know, I’ve posted several articles about keeping your children safe on the internet. I have a resource from Rob Mitchell that you will love! It’s an activity booklet to use with your younger children to teach them to use the internet safely. You can use it online, download or print it for your use and it’s free. Find it here: The Internet Safety Guide

I’m not sending you these resources to scare you, but to provide you with baby steps that you can do to prepare for the unexpected.
