Katie did a great job of sharing her story this week in the “Message to Movement” series. We really saw her heart – much the way we see it all the time in The Blog Connection.
So now it’s my turn to get vulnerable…
First, I want to mention that the photos I’ve been adding to my posts are not just images off the internet. These women are my friends. I’ve actually spoken by phone or skyped with all of them. They’ve helped me and I’ve helped them. The friendships alone would be worth joining for.
Starting with Katie, these women are all really there to encourage us and help us be successful at what we feel called to do.
I started blogging in 2007. I can honestly say that in the years since I joined The Blog Connection in 2014 I’ve learned so much more than I did struggling on my own. My learning curve when I started was straight uphill. Now with the helpful videos and groups from Katie, I can pick up things much more quickly and keep moving along.
Let me tell you a story about Katie.
She is always on the lookout for ways to keep us informed. When we all had to become GDPR compliant I thought I would have to quit. I had no idea where to even begin. Katie put a free class together to help us all get what we needed. This is what she always does. She seems to be one step ahead of those of us without any tech skills. She studies up on it so she can explain it to us in terms that we can understand.
Recently we were notified that there is another big change coming to a program that many of us use. Once again I found myself thinking I would never figure it all out. Then there came the email from Katie saying she didn’t have time to put anything together on those changes. What now! Was Katie really going to let me down?
By no means, she recommended someone else who had put a teaching together.
That’s Katie. We come first!
She doesn’t need to be in the spotlight. She wants us to have all that we need to become successful, even if that comes from someone other than herself.
